Chaco National Historic Park lies three hours from Santa Fe in the San Juan Basin, surrounded by the Navajo Reservation. Chaco is a place for people with a deep interest in the Puebloan culture as these are the most significant "Anasazi" (early Puebloan) ruins in the Southwest. The long but beautiful drive to get to Chaco passes through stunning desert landscapes and brings us to this remote National Park Service area which is a World Heritage Site. We walk through the remains of beautifully crafted sandstone pueblos which were abandoned around the year 1300. Due to the distance and staffing needs, this tour is offered for a minimum of 4 guests at $200 per person including box lunch. 12 hours.
