The park harbors Anasazi (early Pueblo Indian) ruins and cliff dwellings among deep canyons and cliffs on the edge of one of the largest inactive volcanoes in the world. Join us for a trip to the ruins of prehistoric Tyuonyi village or for a longer walk in this internationally known area.     Pecos National Historic Park and the Civil War battlefields lie near the Rocky Mountains and broad mesas. The Park has a large mission church amongst ruins of an abandoned Tewa Pueblo village. Visit the Park's beautiful Greer Garson Visitor Center and museum, Civil War battlefields where General Sibley's Confederate Army was stopped in its drive toward the Colorado gold fields.    4 hours $70.

 
       
      Chaco National Historic Park lies three hours from Santa Fe in the San Juan Basin, surrounded by the Navajo Reservation. Chaco is a place for people with a deep interest in the Puebloan culture as these are the most significant "Anasazi" ruins in the Southwest. The beautiful drive to get to Chaco passes through stunning desert landscapes and brings us to this remote National Park Service area.We walk through the remains of beautifully crafted sandstone pueblos which were abandoned around the year 1300. Due to the distance and staffing needs, this tour is offered for a minimum of 4 guests at $150 per person including box lunch.
