Monique Schoustra is President of Great Southwest Adventures Inc. A resident of Santa Fe for 11 years, Monique holds a Masters in Environmental Studies from the University of Oregon and a BS from the University of California, Berkeley. She has been working as a guide in Santa Fe and northern New Mexico since 1995. Monique is an expert in youth and adult environmental education. Aside from working as a guide and business owner, she helps develop energy efficient housing, sculps stone, serves on art and conservation boards of directors and reads voraciously. Monique loves to take people, dogs, or just herself outdoors and is expert in giving people a wonderful day in our enchanting landscapes.

Tom Ribe is Vice President of Great Southwest Adventures Inc. A native of northern New Mexico, he holds a MS in Environmental Studies from the University of Oregon and an advanced communications degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Author of Los Alamos, New Mexico, an Area guide for Visitors and Residents (Otowi Crossing Press 1997) Tom has been working as a guide in Santa Fe for the last 10 years and has been working in the field of visitor education and environmental education for 29 years.

Tom is an expert on Bandelier National Monument, the Jemez Mountains, regional ecology and has experience working for the National Park Service and the US Forest Service in New Mexico, Idaho and California, both in fire and natural history interpretation. Tom is author of a book on the Cerro Grande Fire due out fall 07. He works in prescribed fire with the National Park Service at Yosemite National Park and elsewhere, serves on the Boards of Directors of Firefighters United for Safety Ethics and Ecology (FUSEE) and Caldera Action. Tom is interested in energy efficient housing as a key way to help low income people and stem global warming.

Bruce Bannerman is an exceptional guide. A native New Mexican who has his BS in Biology from the University of California at Santa Cruz, Bruce has worked as an educator at Monterey Bay Aquarium, the University of California Natural Reserve System (as Reserve Manager at the Granite Mountains Preserve, an interpretive ranger at Pecos National Historic Park (National Park Service), the Challis National Forest and Santa Fe Preparatory School. Bruce has a strong interest in Tibetan Buddhism and is an expert on the history and natural world of the Southwest. He's been with Great Southwest since 1997.
